Europe 2025 | Milan, Italy

As part of our journey south-east from Switzerland, we had a very short (less than 24 hours) stay in Milano, which was a great opportunity to re-live dad's work visit to town!

We enjoyed a nice dinner at Eataly, followed by some gelato from GROM, as dad insisted it was good (and it was!).

In the morning, with 3 hours of daylight before needing to board out train to Venice, we caught a quick Metro down to Duomo, to take in the famed church that took over 500 years to complete.  We also visited the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, though we didn't go through with the whole heel on bull testicles tradition.

We wondered around the city a little, enjoyed a quick espresso (dad and mum are loving the quick, no-nonense tasty caffine hit!).  We sampled some cakes, saw a rendition of Paul's Mum's Cake (the original is surely better), and then tried the famous Panzerotti Luini (twice!).

And then, just like that our time in Milano was over, and we boarded our Frecciarossa to Venizia.
