This morning we left Chur nice and early and boarded another world-class scenic train, this time taking us through to Tirano in Italy. This trip, through many tunnels, brigdes and viaducts is now UNESCO listed for its place in history.
Once again, the photos really don't do justice to the beauty of Switzerland, and once again we were treated to crystal blue skies all day!
The train took us through to Tirano, just inside the border, where in the hour wait we managed to have our first Italian espresso, and a pretty decent pizza (actually it was great!). We then boarded a more local train for the 2 (no 3 - it seems the Italian trains don't quite run as efficiently as other places) to head to Milan.
