Mid-Winter... Movies, Sun and a happy Anniversary too...

After a week where daddy was away more than home (a combination of Wagga and walking)...the girls took advantage of the weekend to really pack it in.   First up was a trip to the movies to watch How to train your dragon 2...

Saturday night, we went along to celebrate My & Richard's 10 year wedding anniversary... The girls and dad all got dressed up...

Even mum and dad (though dad needed to find his shoes!)

The party was quite glam... all the girls were dressed up nice...

And the kids all looked spectacular...

Here's the before and after... 10 years does make a bit of a difference it seems...

Sunday came around... and after the girls all slept in, we headed over to Cronulla for some fun in the sun...

We had the beach all to ourselves (admittedly, it was windy, cold...but sunny!)

Claire thought it was a laugh at least!

Keira glammed it up!

See you later... from the Beaver's...

Hong Kong & Singapore | July 2014 | Part 2

The next part of the holiday was 2 days at DisneyLand...  The girls were forced to wait till the end of the holiday for this...but it was definately worthwhile...

The girls managed to convince dad to get them souvenirs before going home...

We stayed at the Disney Hollywood hotel, and enjoyed a breakfast with Chef Mickey...

Even mum and dad got a photo with Mickey!

On the first day at Disney, mummy had to manage the kids all by herself... Daddy was asleep in the hotel lobby after enjoying a rough night... So day 2 with the family was a chance for a lot of fun...

Though...it was really really hot... sweltering hot...

But so much fun all the same!

A tasty snack to recuperate during the parade...

And as pretty as a fairy in tinkerbell's garden...

It was a pity she had to get locked away for so long...

Richard came along with his family for the day too...

Bye Disney!

After leaving Hong Kong...  Where the girls enjoyed their iPod's filled with High School Musical...

...we had a 12 hour stop-over in Singapore, and once again tried to pack in as much as we possibly could...

We started with a trip out to our old home, CitySquare, where the kids ate some of their favourite foods, saw our old house, visited their old School, as well as caught up with Melodie & Sophie!

The girls even had a go on the old playground... and they realised how much they have grown since leaving Singapore (the remembered the playground as being much bigger than it is now)...

Here they are with the highlight they'd been waiting for... Chocolate buns...

We then headed over to Sufen's house and had an amazing BBQ with a bunch of old friends from our time in Singapore...  The kids had so much fun... such a great way to end the holiday!

It was then off the airport, where the girls all needed a sleep before getting on our overnight flight back home...

Hong Kong & Singapore | July 2014 | Part 1

We had a great holiday this July, visiting Hong Kong and Singapore!  We only had a week, but we managed to squeeze in a lot of fun and excitement, and are already counting down to our next family trip.

Here are the girls enjoying the Airport Express train upon arrival into Hong Kong...  This was after a 6 hour transit in Singapore, and an overnight flight into Hong Kong... Such little troopers...

First up for our week in Hong Kong was to meet up with long-time friends, Maelle and Jihae who have been living it up in Hong Kong!

And where better to meet than at PMQ with the 1600 Panda's exhibition.  Claire's been practicing her photography skills as you can see.  All the Panda's are care of Claire...

Another photo by Claire...

Keira and Maelle quickly became the best of friends all over again...

Other than a lot of wondering around the town, we managed to get out to the Space Museum...

The kids met their own kind...

We also spent a bunch of time with Maelle and Maxime at their place...

Though we have just realised that we missed out on getting a photo of the young man (Maxime) himself.

So happy!

All that excitement meant very tired girls... Here they are enjoying a quite break at Starbucks.

Daddy's beautiful girl...

Dinner at a local restaurant meant just another opportunity for daddy and mummy to admire their girls...

And finally a photo of mum & dad together!

One of the highlights of Causeway Bay for the girls was the nights... many of the streets are closed to cars, allowing shoppers to wonder freely, and for little girls to dance in the middle of the road (as you do!

Claire with her favourite shop... And the girls playing in the blue light next to the hotel..

The three girls at the Heritage...

 In a cafe...

And on a bus!

This is some kind of before and after!

We tried to enjoy all the options available for getting around Hong Kong... We tried the train, the MTR, taxi's, bus and the Tram... We made sure we took the Peak Tram for a ride too!

The girls were impressed by the height and the views from the Peak...

 Lovely girls...

Another great thing about Hong Kong was the egg tarts!

We were a long way from home...

The girls had a go at modelling...

There was even a Mr & Little Miss art exhibition...  And they happened to feature the girls favourite faces... Mr Happy (Keira) and Little Miss Sunshine (Claire)....

And the real Mr Happy of the day...

Along with the Little Miss Sunshine's....

And before we end this post... We almost forgot the Star Ferry... the last of the many transport options we enjoyed...
