Camp Coutts | March 2018

This weekend we made good on a planned camping trip that has been 18 months in planning.  As it had been such a long time since our last camping trip, we decided to push our combined limits a little further, and went for a much more bushy experience, and visited Camp Coutts, in the Heathcote National Park.

Coutts has a lot of sentimental value for dad, having spent countless weekends there as a young boy.  The green dining fly pictured in the last few shots was actually a feature of these weekends (some 25 years ago!)

The weekend was amazing, with great weather, great fun, great food and great company.  We managed a bush walk to Kingfisher Pools (though it wasn't suitable for swimming due to the abnormally dry summer season), explored the Bubble Caves, made campfire damper and generally run amok.  Some highlights from the weekend follow.

Ed Sheeran | 2018

This weekend we went to our first concert as a family, and it was a big one.  Ed Sheeran!

Being the keen family we are, we arrived nice and early so we could enjoy the pre-show.

And then it was time for the show, which we all agree was nothing short of amazing... 80,000+ people watching a single guy, with a microphone and a guitar...and we were all captivated the entire time!

Parties all around

In the last month, whilst being busy between school and work and getting ready for renovations at home, we've managed to keep ourselves quite busy.

In February Mum & Dad abandoned the kids and went to see Boyz II Men and TLC in the Hunter Valley!

In late February, we celebrated Mario's (Damian's Dad) 70th birthday in amazing style... The party was held in an active aircraft hanger (with actual aircraft), a pizza van.  Damian had taken some initiative from Dad's surprise party for mum, and pushed it so much further!

In early March we celebrated Lewis' birthday with a morning by the pool.
