Happy Graduation Claire!!!

As seems to happen these days, we've blinked an yet another major milestone has come upon us.  Claire has somehow managed to reach the end of her schooling days, much to the distress of the parents!

She was such a cute little kindy kid back in 2013 when she started at North Rocks Public, and she's grown into a wonderful young lady as she finishes up at William Clarke Collage.

Even over the 6 years at William Clarke she's continued to thrive and grow.  It's also surprising how quickly the time has past since her last graduation event back in 2012.

Graduation day was a little emotional for all of us, knowing this is the last time we'll be sending Claire off to school, and congratulating her for yet another award... though we do hope that we'll be invited to some of her future exploits and awards!

The celebrations continued - informally - without the parents in tow, so once again we get to live vicariously via instagram posts!

And then, it was time for the formal (or valadictorial as its called at WCC)... Where Claire got to re-live the dream staircase entry (as she did in year 10) - though dad didn't quite get the lighting right this time around.

And now the countdown begins to the final HSC exams and then freedom!

Happy 18th Birthday Claire

And in the blink of an eye, our baby girl Claire is apparently an adult!  Our wonderful, beautiful, kind, generous, thoughtful young lady has made it to 18, and made her parents both extremely proud, and a little emotional!

Some moonshine from Auntie Karen.

As usual, a thoughtful, creative card from her loving sister.

We celebrated the actual day with dinner in the city at El Camilo Cantina in the city.

Where Claire enjoyed her first (legal) drink, a comically oversized margarita in four flavours.

It was then time to party... and whilst the setup started to look like a suburban AA meeting, or perhaps the latest cult to hit the hills, as the sun set, the party really started!  The theme - under the sea - but Claire was a pirate - the only one allowed above the sea. No ego here!

Claire partied in style throughout the night and was the centre of the underwater world.
