Post Christmas Sales!

Following on from our visit to the Pitt Street mall on the busiest day of the year... we decided that the next morning would be as good a time as any to visit DFO (yes on the start of the post-christmas sales!).

Thankfully we decided to get there early, as we had a full day of activities planned, and as we pulled in at 10:00am (right on opening time), we were took one of the last spaces in the carpark.

After the girls did their own shopping at Smiggle, they sat down with daddy for some food, colouring and frozen yoghurt, while mummy had a bit of a shop for herself (incidently the result of the shopping session was clothes for dad!).

After our shopping therapy it was off to celebrate Nikhil's 3rd Birthday.

One of the party games was to team up and make a mummy.  Claire was the mummy for the day... Here are some of the shots from the game.

After all that fun we headed over to the Tang's place for a Chilli Crab feast... We only managed the one shot for the not with the kids a little crazy when all together!

This morning, after a quick breakfast we took the girls out for a bike ride (as they haven't been for quite a long time)...while there mum and dad enjoyed an run (with Keira joining in for a race!).   Feeling a little hot and exhausted, a quick cooling swim was called for!

Since we'd done a bit of shopping this week, we headed out for something different and went to Birkenhead Point, where the shopping seemed to be all about Claire!

And as a bit of a treat, we headed to La Botte Doro, the girls favourite restaurant for spaghetti and seafood...

Claire was so impressed she wrote a review, while Keira wanted a photo with the sign!

And then, to top off what ended up a great day, we dashed into Bar Italia for some gelato (which is what daddy had been hoping for!)...

Merry Christmas 2014!!!

The last week has blissfully passed in a blur of Christmas Cheer.  It's been such great fun having the whole family together all week, and we still have another week to go before dad goes back to work...

First up is some poses of the girls... Keira being a little gangsta...and Claire proudly showing off her missing front tooth and self-styled hair.

First up with the Christmas Cheer... Keira with her bestie Kenzie...

And with more of her great friends at the local Carol's by Candlelight ...

Dad came home from Wagga a day early to join the carolling night... Which was a surprise as the girls didn't expect him there!

 Happy girls = happy dad...

The Carols was a great night...a small community event where the kids seemed to know almost everyone, and were able to run around like crazy with their friends till dark.

Next up on the Christmas train was a Kindergarten reunion for Claire and her friends...

A celebration with daddy's school friends and families... the gang now equal in numbers (adults and kids) with the kids ensuring the celebrations are all about them!

We enjoyed a wonderful handmade gift from Irene in Wagga Wagga, our first gingerbread house....

Which the girls absolutely demolished within minutes of the photo above.

And before too long, it was time for the big red man to visit our tree... Santa delivered on the girls wishes this year, managing to delivery the 1 thing each of them asked for... Mum and dad happily spoilt the girls from there...

Very happy girls on Christmas morning...

Though happiness often turns to silliness with these monkeys...

Boxing Day came around quickly, and we headed into the city to enjoy the traditional boxing day craziness of the Pitt Street Mall, and the girls first visit to Sydney Tower (or as it is known to dad, Centrepoint Tower).  And Sydney turned out an amazing morning for our enjoyment!

Here's the girls looking amazing as usual.

 An obligatory selfie with dad...

A nice photo of Keira, and who knows what Claire and Dad was upto!

We walked down to Darling Harbour to frolic in the sun before heading home for a a swim...

Merry Christmas from the Beavers!!!!

Claire's a Star too....

It's almost the end of the school year for Claire... And they recently held a funny-hat mufti day.  We only managed one photo...

This week was the end of year presentations, and we were super proud that Claire received an award again this year, topping last years performance with a medal as well as the award.

A very proud Claire!  She's been trying as hard as she can all year... Here's hoping she keeps up the great attitude and focus!

This weekend, we had a nice dinner out at La Botte D'oro, which has become the girls new favourite restaurant...followed by a day in the sun at Clontarf today!

Claire got a bit too much salt in her eyes, so wasn't feeling the best at the end, but it was still a great weekend.

Keira's the Star...

This week was Keira's preschool Christmas Show... And she was very excited as she was playing Mary, with Javier as her Joseph.

She very proudly told us that her and Javier have a baby...

 The whole group

Keira leading the dance group...

This is Keira with her two BFF's, Kenzie on her right and Lucia on her left.

A very happy Keira!

After the show we had a great dinner with Javier and his family which really made Keira's day!
