August 2025

Besides the early posted celebrations for Keira's 16th, August brought a lot of activity, with Grandad's 70th, Dad's 45th, a month long visit from Stacey & Lewis from the UK, days out and about, a weekend in Culburra Beach with the whole family (sans Grandad who was laid up with an infection).. and dad even ran the City2Surf for some reason.

Keira snuck off to yet another concert...this time Tyler the Creator.


And mum and dad had another mid-week escape, this time to Maroubra - Bronte - Tamarama - Bondi.





And to wrap up the month... Keira got a carrot!?

Happy 16th Birthday Keira

And the little dark one (Keira for clarity) is suddenly 16!  And what a 16 she is... Keira has embraced the teenage years with full spirit and we love her for it.

We celebrated the day in the typical way, with the present haul featuring a range of goodies including very heavy Doc Martins and a button maker - which featured heavily in subsequent events - where guests were provided with a souvenir pin with Keira's face!





We celebrated Keira's birthday in the same fashion as this time last year, with a dinner in Cremorne, followed by a screening of "The Room", this time including a double-feature and special guest (from the movie).  It does feel like this could be the start of a recurring tradition for Keira's birthday...  We're not sure we're that excited about the prospect of watching The Room again every year...but what can you do!



For the birthday party itself...which was delayed by a couple of weeks due to rain, Keira hosted a movie night in the garden for her nearest and dearest.
