Firstly… A little bit of News!!!!

Although we are told it’s a little early to start spreading the news…we’re not very good at keeping secrets, so here it is…

The Beaver’s are pregnant (well, its actually Hanna that’s pregnant, I just look pregnant!). Hanna is around 8-9 weeks pregnant…and we’re very very happy about it!

We found out a week before we left for our holidays, and so Hanna spent most of the trip suffering the most common side-effect of morning sickness. Along with that, obviously being pregnant takes a fair bit of energy, so we probably spent a lot more time in cafés and hotels than we would normal do, but we were happy nonetheless.

We’re seeing an obstetrician later this week, and hopefully is going well. As we hadn’t really planned this, we’re not sure of exactly when the little-one is due, but we’re thinking it will be sometime in mid-August (making it the best birthday present ever for me…and probably being the last present I will get for a long time!)

We’ll be staying here in Singapore for the birth, and are not sure what our plans are for next year yet, as it will depend on work opportunities and how we cope with a little-one, but its likely we’ll either spend some time in the UK/Europe and/or Indonesia, before coming back to Sydney sometime in late 2008/2009.

We’ll provide another update on Friday once we’ve seen the doctor… but as you know… I can’t keep my mouth shut…especially when I’m excited.

We hope you’ve all had a great Christmas and New Year…we’re looking forward to seeing all the Aussies in April when we’re back for a couple of weeks…

Oh…and if you’re going to look through the following blogs…I recommend starting from the bottom so you look at them in chronological order.

:)

Love Alan & Hanna

PS We visited the Ob Gyn and all seems to be going well, we're about 9 weeks (at the 18/Jan). We saw bubba's heart beat for the first time... and now we can't wait :)
