Next on our whirlwind tour was a few days in the heart of London. Our first stop (on the evening we arrived) was to head to Mina Lina, a gallery which Keira found featuring all the original artworks (books, posters, advertisements) from the Harry Potter films! She found this as someone (dad) forgot to book tickets for the Harry Potter Studio Tour, so we missed out on going there!
We also made a couple of trips to the Platform 9 3/4 at Kings Cross so Keira could get some photos!
Whilst in London, we managed to walk a scary amount, ate lots of good food (which seems to be a comment trend in our posts these days). We saw too many Accessorize stores (at one point we were seeing how many Accessorize-selfies we could manage in an evening).
We also managed some of the stereotypical photos for the trip.
Piccadilly Circus
And then we bumped into some old friends from Sydney (who we hadn't seen for quite a few years).... Truth is it was coordinated, as they live a couple of hours north of London...but it doesn't sound as good. The Cocking's came down to spend the day exploring London with us which was great.
The Tower Bridge
And the Tower of London
We climbed the Monument (Great Fire of London Monument). All 311 steps up, and 311 steps down again (Claire and Mum weren't too pleased with this activity).
The view was nice though.
Another exhausted train ride!
We also spent some time in Camden Town (to which Dad made us walk!), enjoying the market and cafe's by the water....which would have been even nicer if it weren't 2 degrees!
The girls sharing some jokes with mum... They were actually hassling her about things she says wrong... like "ship" and "sheep" and "sheet".
We also spent some time exploring the shops around Marble Arch, Oxford Street and Soho.
Continuing the small-things obsession... A small car...
And a small building...
