Our last day in NYC has come around very quickly, though I think we all have legs which are looking more shapely thanks to the endless walking...
Today we started off with the aim of taking it easy and going for a stroll in Central Park... we started with some fresh bagels, and then headed uptown to Columbus Circle to start out wonder through Central Park.
Shortly after entering the park we came across a cool playground where the kids got a chance to be kids for a while...
All the kids...
Another selfie from the parents.
We then continued in an uptown direction towards the Carousel, where Claire and Keira enjoyed a ride.
Dad spotted a bridge so took some time for some photos (as usual).
Even forcing the girls to run up to the top of the bridge for some more photos.
We came across a lot more squirrels, who are obviously a lot more familiar with humans, and would come up really close to us.
Enjoying a rest along The Mall.
The girls tried out the amplification from the band-stand...
We then went aboard a row boat to enjoy a paddle around the lake (thanks to dad).
After all that walking (and rowing) we followed the rambling paths to try and find lunch!
And thankfully came out of the park near a familiar sign.
We then headed even further uptown to try a bakery recommended by some friends... Mum and Claire were both super pleased!
Then...to finish our New York experience, we headed downtown to Macy's, to check out what is claimed as the World's Largest Store...
The girls went a little nutty, the second photo showing Keira's anger at our offer to go back into the shop (see the dent!)
While mum shopped, we ducked out and had a look at the Empire State Building, as well as some of the other shops around the Garment District.
After checking no less that 15 souvenir shops, we finally found one with a Keira item... so quickly bought it to keep our little one happy!
It was then back to the hotel to get ready to head onto our next American city (and state), Chicago.
