Pox...Be gone!

After the girls enjoyed all the wonders of chicken pox, and mum thought she was through the nursing role for a while, it turns out that our family wasn't quite done with the pox for 2014.  It was daddy's turn, and it seems to have taken its revenge on daddy (after the girls vaccination lowered the effect of the pox)...

Daddy spent 4 days in bed complaining and being a pain, during which mum was busy nursing her 'big-baby'.  Although as they say, every cloud has a silver lining, and being stuck at home for 7 days was a nice way for daddy to spend a lot of time with the girls!

Though come Saturday, Daddy felt a bit better (and was no longer considered contagous), so it was high time to get out of the house and enjoy the increasing sunshine!

We started with just a shopping day at Birkenhead Point, with the mission of getting bed sheets and shoes for the girls.  The mission was a success, and daddy managed new shoes and clothes too!

Whilst we let mum have a bit of therapy (shopping without us), we enjoyed a yummy pizza at the cafe.   (You can see some of the remaining spots on dad!)

We then went home and spent some time in the pool...the first swim of the season, and we've all agreed that its been too long since we went for a swim!

Sunday came around and we spent a good part of the day in the pool again!  The Bastianon's and Gareth came around for a BBQ lunch, and we just lounged and ate way too much.

As it was the long weekend, we had one more day of fun planned before daddy goes back to work/Wagga and the kids go back to school...  A day bush walking and swimming in the Royal National Park.

We started our morning nice and early at Wattamolla, before walking along the Coast Track to Curracurrang Cove... there we journey up river a little while until we reached a small waterfall and rockpool.

This was a great place to cool off before walking back to Wattamolla to have a picnic lunch on the beach.

Overall a great day in the sun, surf and water.... A great start to summer!
