We headed out ahead of everyone else, spending the Friday night as the only family in the park... We went for a walk at night to get used to the dark, and even spent some time in the playground area in total darkness...
Come Saturday morning, we were awoken early by a lot of noisy natives... Dad almost got knocked over by a rather large kangaroo while he was running around...
We had beautiful weather all night and all day Saturday, quite fitting for the last day of Autumn...

A timer shot-series with daddy and the girls... This was actually 10 photos and ended with the girls on the floor after a tickle!
Once all the families arrived, we had a total of 11 adults and 12 kids... The kids enjoyed some football in the park...
Camping with 23 people can be quite an effort... Luckily the campsite had plenty of space for all of us and our cars...
Towards the end of the day, we went for a walk along the river...

Sunday morning seemed to come around all too quickly (especially for the parents)...
In order to try and build an appetite (after a large breakfast) we all went on another big walk through the national park... visiting the heritage cottage (from the early 1800's) and seeing a bit more of the local wildlife...

And at that it was time to head back home... It wasn't until we got home that we realised that we failed to get a group shot of everyone together... We did manage a shot of the kids (well most of them at least)... We'll have to do this again soon (and remember the group shot this time around!)
