Hello! We're just back from 10 days in Tokyo...and what a great time its been... What follows is 3 posts capturing some of the highlights (and kawaii moments) from the trip, together with some videos of the fun we had.
Here we are at the airport getting ready to head off... it may not be too clear, but Keira is doing her Angry Bird impression...
A quick inspection of the plane to make sure its all in order before we head off...
Its important to carry out all the safety checks before flying...as any experienced young pilot will tell you...
We transited in Hong Kong, so the girls walked between gates with their babies...
First morning breakfast at the Hilton Tokyo Bay (near Disneyland)...
Pretty girls on the window ledge...
Our first outing to Disneyland started with a very cold morning...Claire had to run to keep warm.
Keira chose to cuddle up with mummy instead. Wise choice Keira.
The hotel was a short monorail trip away from Disneyland...Keira loved the Mickey handles...
While Claire loved the Mickey windows.
A quick photo to prove that mummy and daddy were actually here too!
Claire met Goofy first... Keira wasn't so keen on getting up and close with the characters just yet... a wave from a comfortable distance was enough.
We loved the parades...and we managed to see four during the day... two Christmas parades (and the songs are still stuck in daddy's head)
We had to get used to waiting a bit in Disneyland...there were more people than we have ever seen.
We were fortunate, a beautiful blue sky cool day... It was amazingly bright sitting here for the parade.
Claire decided to try the glass slipper in Cinderella's castle.
And thought the royal throne would be a good place to rest for a while.
Here's the three girls trying to get together on the throne, but there is only space for one ruler it seems.
Hello Minnie! For a park created in honour of Mickey and Minnie Mouse, they are quite hard to find.
Keira's fallen in love with the little elephants which are around the place.
We all ate way too much chocolate and popcorn...little did we know that this would be our staple diet for the entire trip!
Keira telling us which way to go...
Merry Christmas from Minnie and Mickey.
When it got late, mummy and Keira headed back to the hotel for a rest, so Claire and daddy hit the streets.
And stayed up late to see the fireworks.
And the night parade.
Before heading back to the hotel for a late night photo opportunity at the kids check-in desk.
The next morning, before mummy and Claire woke up, daddy found this little creature admiring herself in the mirror...
Don't look now!
Day 2 and its off to Disney Sea... another photo at the check-in desk.
Posing outside the hotel... We didn't ride one of these buses, but they are quite cool. Notice how even the indicator lights have been Mickey'ed.
Our girls and their world (we can just about see Australia, Singapore and Semarang there!)
Claire met Donald Duck...
Before Daisy and Claire decided to go off for a walk...
We had to force Daisy not to run off with Claire!
Keira getting ready for some breakfast..
Here we all are with Ariel (Claire wanted this photo to show Auntie Karen)... Claire was amazed that Ariel spoke English, as she was quickly realising that not many other people did in Japan... All the rides, the shows and the songs were all in Japanese.
As usual, the girls love the carousel.
As does daddy of course!
A water rapids ride...Mummy was left behind to photograph the excitement.
Loving (and cold) sisters...
The countdown to Christmas has definitely begun...
Time to head home...Claire's driving.
