And, just like that half a year has flown by with nothing much to report...what started as a generally improving half-year, has ended in a full-lockdown and a return to school and work from home... As at today, we've not really left the house for some four weeks...and the prospects for a return to normality are not looking great... At least another couple of weeks to go it seems!
So, the highlights (or mid-lights if we're honest) for the last few months...
March
In March, Claire realised that the world was becoming a little blurry, and so entered the four-eyed (lame old-school joke) world of glasses.
On a more positive note, and with some influencing $ payments, Claire became the barista of the house...waking up early each morning to prepare fresh espresso, latte's and hot chocolate's for the family.
Keira wanted in on the action, and so proceeded to grow during the month... coming very close to mum (who will in the not distant future be the smallest human in the family).
Grandma & Granddad sold their home in Smithfield, and bought a new one (with an ENSUITE) in Oak Flats.
Spud got groomed (and as you will soon see, this was a regular highlight of the year).
And Claire... not sure what to say really!
April
In hindsight, April was a pretty lack lustre month. As has happened numerous times over the last year or so, we had some plans...we cancelled some plans...and we generally stayed at home.
Keira, following Claire's inspiration by $ started to bathe Spud. He always loves a good shower!
We also managed a rare outing to a local markets... Dogs included which is always fun!
May
With May came Mother's Day, and a chance to get the lovely ladies out for a nice lunch at CicciaBella in Parramatta.
And even a second outing in the same month to Church Point.
Forced photos of the girls at Church Point to prove they were there too!
Claire decided she wanted to try something Retro...so she spent an afternoon at the Roller Rink with Cooper. And as expected...the rest of the month was really just Spud in various forms!
Including another round of model-shots at PetOne (which resulted in a lot of social media coverage)
And...surprise surprise, Spud got another grooming!
June
In June, the weather started to turn, and so it was time to start snuggling.
Keira and Astrid made a new trolley for Spud...
And the three (?) kids had a go on the swings.
July
And so, here we are in July... School holidays were approaching and all seemed okay, but then along came Covid - DELTA, and it ruined all our plans. We were intending to have spent a week or so in Tasmania, touring the northern towns and enjoying some luxury...but instead we got to enjoy the confines of our home... returning to a full work-from-home regime...followed by a school-from-home regime... Such Fun!
But onto the fun for the month, and firstly - Happy 2nd Birthday Spud! Spud celebrated in style (to the extent we were allowed) with presents and pup-cakes at the park!
We then kicked in to art-mode for the holidays...with the girls (mostly Keira) creating a new artwork for her bedroom wall.
As well as new cover for Spud's bed.
Keira created some doodles...Spud was note keen on the work-from-home business.
Kids Schooling from home...
Spud's exhausted from the attention.
And... Spud got another grooming!
