Happy New Year | 2017

After the fun of Christmas, we continued with what is becoming a tradition and hit the shops for the Boxing Day sales (albeit the day after Boxing Day).  The girls joined dad for "daddy shopping" which involves walking into every store, looking around quickly and moving on...  We ended up walking through all of Pitt Street Mall, Myer and DJ's, and even made it over to Hyde Park!

Keira had a go at being a scientist for an afternoon, producing a volcano from her Christmas present.

Next on the list was a couple of games of ten-pin bowling...

 For New Years Eve we hosted a small group for dinner and drinks, and lots of time in the pool!

The kids had been talking about the highlight of the party for weeks in advance...the idea of jumping in the pool at midnight...and so as the final seconds ticked away the kids got ready to leap!

For the new year, we spent the afternoon clearing out the old (clothes from the wardrobes).  Claire inherited a bunch of clothes from Hanna, and so when Keira saw a dress that she liked, it was definitely time for dad to do some crafting!  So after a quick bit of sewing, Keira had her new dress... Here's a before and after shot!

And as the Christmas / New Year holiday comes rapidly to a close... We got prepared for a game of putt-putt...
