Dad's Day Out

As today was the last day of school holidays, and YMCA wasn't open, the kids decided it would be a good idea to go to work with Dad for the day.

Starting with an early wake up and rush to the bus stop, our day began.  The morning was very foggy.

Once at Dad's office (via the cafe where the girls were given a chocolate by the barista - to Dad's dismay - he never gets a chocolate) the girls tucked into their toast before heading out to the first meeting of the day.

After the first meeting (which happened to be in a cafe), the girls decided they could sum up Dad's working day as 'a lot of walking, talking, eating and drinking coffee'.

After the morning's work was out of the way, we headed over to the Museum of Sydney, for their Lego exhibition.  A small-ish exhibition, but some impressive creations, and an opportunity for the kids to relax after their stressful meeting.

The kids then crafted their own creations...

After the fun of Lego, and a quick exploration of the remainder of the Museum, we jumped in a cab and headed over to the Barangaroo Headland.  An opportunity for dad to point out the building he's been working in, as well as enjoying the amazing winter weather!

We all then walked around to the base of the Harbour Bridge for some more photos...

Before heading back to the office initially for some yummy lunch, and then for yet another meeting, before heading back home (via Lincraft & Bunnings)...

Dad hopes the girls had a great day... he certainly did!
