Thankfully all she suffered was a rather nasty bump and scratch, but no permanent damage done.
This week has been the first week back at school after school holidays, and as we haven't posted about the school holidays, I suppose now is as good a time as ever.
First week of school holidays was mostly about catching up with friends. The girls went on play dates, to the movies to see Lego and just generally had a good time...
Good Sunday brought around Oma's arrival for another flying visit... First step was a nice picnic in the backyard, enjoying pork rolls from Hong Hua in Mascot!
Next on the agenda for the week was a trip out to Taronga...
And a beautiful day to be out and about...
Three lovely ladies...
As we didn't make any plans to go to the Easter Show this year, we took the girls to the Family Show at Moore Park...
Usually the girls don't go on many of the rides, but this time they were a bit more adventurous than normal...
Claire went on this 'Super Sizzler', which even dad thought was quite dizzying... She loved it so much that mum and dad got to take turns going on this over and over again!
Claire chose the winning pig in the local pig races, and got the honour of naming the white pig... She named it 'Big Snorer'... There may have been a hint of inspiration from dad I think!
Dad & Claire.
Our next main activity (which involved photos at least) was a trip down to Wollongong to the Nan Tien Temple.
Although it was a bit overcast and wet, the girls enjoyed the opportunity to explore, learn a bit more about part of their culture, and take lots of pictures...
The girls climbed up the hill to 'Gratitude', the lone bell on the hilltop, to offer thanks for the life they lead...
Claire rang the bell as loud as she could to send thanks out to the world...
After leaving the temple, we decided to head up to Mount Keira...well for obvious reasons... Here is Keira enjoying the view from her mountain... Alas it was surrounded by low clouds, but was still worth the drive.
As it was cold and wet, we decided we'd have the picnic in the back of the car!
So the girls sat and ate from the back of the car, while the adults all stood out in the rain!
And that about wrapped up both Oma's trip, and the school holidays! Back to work and school I suppose!
