When they first met again, they were both a little shy...but very excited... And within minutes it was like they had never been apart.
We met Caleb and his family at Kings Park, which had a great playground, great views, and great food (thanks to Caleb's mummy and daddy).
The following day, we met again at the Little Creature's Brewery... Which also had a great park nearby.
Where Caleb proved that young boys are more active and adventurous than young girls (well, at least in this example they are).
Here's two lovely gals having a cuddle on a park bench.
After playing for a while, we headed over to the docks for some lunch. We have no idea where Claire came up with these poses from (particularly the bottom right one).
Keira strolled down the brewery alley...
After lunch, we took a drive up the coast to enjoy the views...this was taken from a rest stop near Hillary's.
Loving sisters.
Waiting for the bigger girls to come... Daddy and Keira pose for the camera.
Next stop was Rottingham, where we took a short ferry ride across the water to Penguin Island (aptly named as there is penguins living on the island.
We'll start with some portraits on the beach.
Mummy and Claire were looking for shells...without much luck.
Here's Keira with her back to the ocean...
And just a moody pose before the boat ride.
The water was amazingly clear, turquoise blue.
Once on the island, we met the little penguins whose home we had invaded. These guys were inside the discovery centre... We did find some others out in the wild, but they were a little hard to photograph hiding in various nooks and crannies.
On the island, we took a swim in a sheltered little beach... We walked out to daddy's chest height, and we could still see his toes clearly.
Keira getting set to brave the water.
While Claire runs away in shock from the cold.
In order to warm up, Keira did a bit of a dance...
And posed for daddy's favourite shot of the day.
Here's another of our loving sisters...
And one of just Keira... but in B&W...
After the excitement of Penguin Island, and a sleep, we headed to Scarborough Beach to enjoy the 'sunset coast'...
With some fish and chips...
And quite a beautiful sunset...even if the clouds did block the view a little.
Our last day, so we visited a couple of parks...
Including yet another wonderful playground in Kings Park.
The girls are getting their poses in order...
Especially Keira...
Followed by a trip to a local market in Subiaco..
Another trip to Kings Park (another part of the park, with a souvenir shop)
And finally, a trip down to Cottesloe Beach, to go for a final swim and to try to watch the sunset (sans clouds)...
Unfortunately, the girls were a bit worn down by the days (many) activities... so whilst we almost caught the sunset... the final view of it was in the rear view mirror on the way back to the hotel...
Overall, we loved Perth, it was a beautiful city, great for tourists, with beautiful beaches and parks...We hope to be back again soon!
